You and Your Saint

As Orthodox Christians, we take or are given the name of a chosen saint when we are baptized. This saint is our patron, a friend in the cloud of witnesses whose prayers we ask on our journey toward God. There are many reasons for choosing a particular saint, and each person has a unique relationship with their patron.
