Death Stories

We Orthodox refer to death as “falling asleep in the Lord.” We believe it is a holy moment in the human journey, much like birth, a passage from one state to the next. Grief and love, pain and faith. The whole human condition washing over you like waves in the sea, or sometimes, for a moment, like light.
